Fort Klamath Historic Cemetery is a volunteer-operated, non-profit burial ground serving the Fort Klamath community and the surrounding Klamath Basin. Situated among towering ponderosa pines and meadows framed by the Cascade Range, our grounds offer a serene and tranquil resting place where loved ones are honored with dignity and care.
Established generations ago, the cemetery preserves the history of early settlers, veterans, and families who built this region. Our dedicated volunteer stewards maintain the grounds, care for the records, and ensure every memorial is treated with reverence.
Surrounded by ponderosa forest and mountain meadows in the scenic Klamath Basin.
Managed entirely by community volunteers who give their time and hearts to preservation.
Home to the graves of pioneers, veterans, and families who shaped southern Oregon.
A glimpse of our peaceful grounds throughout the seasons.
Become a patron and reserve your place of rest among our peaceful grounds.
Join us throughout the year as we celebrate, serve, and remember together.
Join us at the cemetery for our annual Historic Day ceremony honoring the brave men and women who served our nation. We gather at the veterans' section for a flag presentation, a moment of prayer, and community remembrance. All are welcome.
We celebrate Independence Day by placing flags at every veteran's headstone as the community honors the service rendered to preserve our freedoms and the ongoing sacrifices that continue to preserve them.
Every May we roll up our sleeves and care for the grounds together. Volunteers trim, tidy headstones, plant flowers, and refresh the fence lines. Afterward we share a potluck lunch under the pines — bring a dish and your good spirit!
Nourish your spirit with daily thought and scripture from the New Testament.
"I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die."— John 11:25–26 (NIV)
